Friday the 13th...
Hi Everyone,
Hope you're having a decent Friday 13th. As its a bit of a lazy Friday afternoon I thought I'd just pen a blog entry as its been a hell of a long time since the last one...
Events
So... erm well its been a super busy last few months, we've been to our first outdoor event organised by those fine fellows at Gorrick. We've got a bit of a taste for it and we'll be back at their events for the rest of the year. We'll be working on our stand to make it one of the most unmissable ones there!
Add to that, were in for Sleepless in the Saddle in August. The bikegoo team is fully prepped and it should be very good indeed.
Customer Feedback and Reviews
We've recently conducted some customer feedback to see what our customers thought of us accross a range of different subjects such as prices, customer service, speed of delivery, quality of the webpage, security and so on. We also asked their opinions about possible opportunities for the future. We got some great feedback. Some really really great feedback. Overall we found our customers really liked the business and really liked our customer service which was just great to hear.
One of the suggestions taken from the customer feedback was to implement a system to allow customers to review our products and write about their experiences with them. We've now got this in place and we've already had quite a few reviews which is really good. So get on there and tell us what you think!
We've got so many other things on the go its a bit ridiculous but we'll give you more details on those soon...
Right, sorry this is a bit of a brief blog entry, but I'm off into our workshop just to give the old Kona the once over before the clock chimes 5.00pm... then I'm off for a blast around the hills... while the weather holds.
All the best for anyone doing Mountain Mayhem this weekend. Should be a real blast. We unfortunately won't be there but we'll catch you at the next one!
Cheers

Wheres the snow then?
Here at Bikegoo HQ we like to tune in on the trusty old wireless to listen to whats going in the wider world. And what do we hear? This morning it was reports of snow everywhere across the UK. Here in Hartfield in East Sussex the sun is shining, its lovely. In fact its one of the most beautiful days we've had since we started business, and certainly not a trace of snow anywhere.
Anyway, whenever snow appears people tend to put their bikes to one side and activity in the bike industry quietens down a little bit.
So I thought I'd take this opportunity to update people on our activities since we last posted on here.
Crank Bros and Ultimate Support come on board
Well, first bit of news is we've included the amazing Crank Brothers Pumps and Multi tools into our range. We've been big fans of theirs for a long while. In fact I have a Multi-19 crank bros tool in my camelbak at the moment. Its been a trusty ally for years. Never let me down.
Add to that the superb Ultimate Support workstands. These are pretty much the finest workstands money can buy. And a large amount of people agree with us. They are the workstand of choice for Shimano... need we say more! We've got a range of their stands available now so please check them out.
Moore Large trade event
Moore Large (UK distributors of brands like Weldtite, Slime, Kenda, Michelin and loads more) had a trade event last weekend at their HQ in Derby. I wandered down there to see what was going on. It was all a bit quiet but we got a chance to see a few new items that tickled our fancy (including the new range of zefal mini and track pumps). The event signalled the opening of Moore Large's long awaited new webpage that will go live very soon!
What else have we been up to? Well we're still putting together our plans for 24 hour events over the summer months where bikegoo will be in attendance. But we're getting there... More to follow.
And finally for now, if anyone hasn't seen it the amazing BBC Adventure Show with all the coverage of the Strathpuffer (with a couple of shots of the Bikegoo team steaming round) have a quick look on BBC Iplayer. You've only got 5 more days mind before its removed so you'll have to be quick!
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/page/item/b00937p5.shtml?q=strathpuffer&start=1&scope=iplayersearch&version_pid=b00937p2
All the best! And we'll post some more juicy info soon!

Hi from Bikegoo
Hello folks. Its a nice Friday afternoon in Hartfield in East Sussex so I thought it about time to cobble together a quick entry to introduce bikegoo in blog form.
Well, hello, we are bikegoo. We are an online bike shop (www.bikegoo.co.uk/) selling lots of bicycle pumps, inner tubes, bike tools, workstands and loads of other bike maintenance stuff. At the moment we're just trying to catch up with ourselves. We opened for business a few weeks ago and its been hectic to say the least. Anyone who's started their own business will probably know the feeling...
Anyway, here we are and we're presently trying to solidify our place in the UK cycle market as the number 1 online location for all your bike maintenance stuff. Not easy when there are so many other bike businesses out there.
Anyway, I think thats enough of the corporate marketing bumf. Thats not what I wanted this blog to be about. Hopefully this blog is purely going to be a place where we can provide a little insight into whats going on at bikegoo, whats going on in the wider cycle industry and us a place where we can communicate with customers and provide a few interesting tit bits of info too.
So first things first. I'm Dave. Hello. I'm the owner of bikegoo.
So what have we been up to so far... Well we've got a bit of promotional activity going on at the moment in conjunction with www.bikemagic.com/. If you've not heard of bikemagic before its a very good "everything to do with mountain bikes" page. We're running a competition with those guys thats open until the end of Feb. If you fancy entering to win some cracking prizes head over to www.bikemagic.com/Comp/Comp.asp?c=37. We've got a cracking BBB Profimount workstand as first prize, some Pedros mini pit kits AND some bottles of purple extreme lube. Not bad eh?! You'll have to sign up to bikemagic to enter but thats no bad thing!
Fisher Expo
As for other stuff we've been doing.... well I had the joy of attending the Fisher Outdoor Expo last month. Fisher Outdoor are the UK distributors of brands like Muc-Off, Tacx, Rock Shox, Sram, and loads more. It was a really good event at Edgbaston cricket ground. I'm not a big fan of cricket so unfortunately the impact of the cricket ground was a bit lost on me. Nevertheless Fisher did themselves proud. To pick out a couple of highlights... Muc-Off have got some cracking stuff in the pipeline... like their Nytralube range of grease and dry lube to accompany their caramel wax wet lube. We'll have them in stock as soon as Muc-Off let us get our hands on some! Tacx were also there with their range of superb workstands. Really well thought out with a number of of pro teams swearing by them. We've got the best of their range available now on our page.
COREbike
Then it was off to COREbike. Again a great trade event. Most interestingly from a bikegoo perspective were the new additions to the Ice Toolz range. It includes some really well thought out tools including an ingenius crown race remover. Most of their new additions have arrived at bikegoo HQ so you can see them on our page now.
Not only that but I had the pleasure of chatting to the 2 Pure guys (UK distributors of Crank Brothers and Ultimate Workstands amongst loads of other big brands). I'm pleased to say that we are going to be hooking up with those guys going forward and very shortly we'll be offering Crank Brothers pumps, multi tools and the amazing ultimate support stands on bikegoo. Watch this space...
Strathpuffer 24
Oh and I should just quickly mention the Strathpuffer 24. We've already gone on about this on the "News" section of our site but just a special thanks to out two Bikegoo riders who did us proud at the Strathpuffer 24 event in January. Cheers Mark. Cheers Hill. Brilliant result... Plans are already afoot for the next 24 hour event for the bikegoo team. This time, all being well...I'll be riding as part of the team... that will probably mean we'll finish dead last, but it will be good fun. We'll provide some more details about that closer the time...
Anyway, I've rambled on for long enough. We'll aim to keep you updated on everything bikegoo from here aswell as on our site at www.bikegoo.co.uk/. All the best.
